Hacienda - Bar Sunshine Rating:
Haciend is located in the heart of Bascarsija ( The Old Town). During
the summer months there is always some kind of a party going on and
always a lively atmosphere. They mainly play a combination of Soulful
House, Western and Latin music that's gets everyone onto the dance
floor. Decorated in a very tasteful Eastern style this place is always
nice to visit on your bar crawls through Bascarsija.
Barka - Bar Sunshine Rating:
This newly opened bar is just next door to Hacienda along a road where
there is a lot of new bars. You will be spoiled for choice. The bar is
called the fishing boat or the Bark and hence the interior design
matches the name. It is a very stylish place with creative interior
details and also a big open garden that will remind you of being
somewhere on a beach. Like Hacienda this place is always buzzing to
house music and filled with young city types.

This is one of the best bars on Sarajevo. Whether it is day or night
it is always packed with people. During the day locals drink
coffee/people watch all day long and during the night there is a
big choice of cocktails to choose from. It is situated in from of the main
Cathedral in Sarajevo and along a stretch of road where there is
another 5-6 bars to choose from: this is the best one for atmosphere,
socialising, cocktails and music. Done up to a luxurious very
attractive standard it is every bit a western bar with even better
table service. The summer garden holds 160 people and the interior
holds 350 people over 2 floors. This is one of the busiest places
in Sarajevo. On Tuesdays its cocktail night with Latin music, Wednesdays
there is a Bavarija Party, Thursdays there is a Heineken party with
promotional prices and Fridays and Saturdays are surprise nights.
This isn't one of the cheapest bars in Sarajevo but it's still cheaper
then anywhere in the West.

This is a lovely little bar in central Sarajevo but not near the Old
Town. It is a bar with a lot of tradition but recently relocated to a
new building in Dec 2005. It is in a beautiful space that is quite
cosy, peaceful and comfortable. There isn't any other bars within this
area so i would only recommend going there is you intend on staying.
Saying that you can always hop into a taxi which will cost no more
then £2 to head back into the old town or to a night club. They play
Latino, House and Funky music.

This is a rally nice place to have coffee during the day. Located
opposite the National Theatre building it is an ideal place to have
coffee during the Film Festival and star spot. It opened during the
war in 1994 but looks completely modern. It is one of the few places
that even during the war it was open for visitors. They have a
cocktail party every Friday and Saturday. They play bit of Rock
N Roll, Jazz, Blues, Ethno music and House. It is a very chilled
out place. I wouldn't say that its the busiest during the evening
but never the less worth popping into.

L.A. - Cafe/bar/club Sunshine Rating:

This is a brand new bar located just outside the center where there is
a lot of bars and cafes to choose from. Like most of the bars in this
area it has a garden. Its about a 15 minute walk from the Old Town.
Its a very happening place as they have hosted some fashion shows and
themed parties. This place prides it self on specialising in cocktail
making with international standards. Its designed in a style that will
remind you of L.A. We would recommend going there for a relaxed evening cocktail
but not as a night club. On the weekends it gets busy but during the week its
quite relaxed.
Ribica Sunshine Rating:
Location: Near the Vjecna Vatra - Eternal Fire - Center
This is simply one of the loveliest bars in Sarajevo. Without a garden
it is ideal for cold winter evenings. Attracting a 30+ crowd it is a
very civilised place that offers very local atmosphere. It is small,
cosy with a beautiful and very unique interior of a rustic style. Go
there to listen to 50's rock'n'roll and soul music and relax in a
non-busy/ hectic atmosphere.
